The purpose of this course is not simply to teach students how to copy songs. Students will gradually learn the fundamentals of devotional singing, including sur (melody), taal (rhythm), pronunciation, vocal practice and devotional expression.

With regular practice and guidance, students can develop greater confidence in singing bhajans and participating in devotional kirtans.

Do I need to know harmonium?

A harmonium is required for the course, and students will use it as part of their musical practice. Previous advanced harmonium knowledge is not required.
